Only those who booked their cruise or land tours with our agency (Velasco Travel Agency) are entitled to our organized private activities (such as Private Cocktail Party, Private Excursions, Luncheon, giveaways, etc.). This is our way of  giving back to OUR customers. This has been our policy since the beginning and it will NOT change. NO EXCEPTION. 1/1/17


Starting August 15, 2010 we will charge $50 cancellation fee to cover administrative expenses on cancelled reservations.

A message to all our customers:

Some cruise lines require a group deposit to guarantee the cruise rates. Since it takes time to sell the cabins that we blocked at a group rate, our agency has to pay the group deposit. We fully understand that you want to use your credit card for the points/rewards/mileage, etc. However, we do not process credit cards at our agency, to avoid the high processing fee that bank charges. Your credit card goes straight to the Cruise Line/Tour Company. We ask our customers to pay a portion by check, to cover our agency deposit, and the rest on a credit card. This also applies to land tours. This is the only way we can continue to offer affordable cruises and tours to our customers. Thank you for your cooperation.


Manny and Beth

Manny and Beth Velasco are the owners of the Velasco Travel Agency. Although the agency has only been opened for 8 years they have been involved in Travel Industry for 13 years, working as Independent Contractor/Travel Agents for another travel agency for 5 years. Because of their passion for travel and cruising, and their strong desire to help their families and friends, they opened their own Travel Agency in March 2009.

After 38 years in Banking Industry, Beth took an early retirement at the age of 55. Manny also took an early retirement (at 60) from SBC, after 34 years of service. Manny & Beth took their first cruise (Caribbean) in August 1978.. . That's when they caught the "cruising bug".  As of April 2017, they have been on 63 cruises, all over the world. Their longest cruise was the 32 day cruise to ASIA. It was the high light of their travel experience. Numerous land tours (North America, South America, South Pacific, Caribbean, Canada, Mexico and Europe) have added dimensions to their travel experience.

Beth received her diploma for "Travel and Tourism" at Carlyle College in Pasadena on February 18, 2000. She earned a certificate from Institute of Certified Travel Agents in March 2000. She continued her studies in Travel by attending numerous classes, seminars, lectures, etc. In 2011 she earned two more certificates, Accredited Cruise Counsellor and Master Cruise Counsellor from Cruise Line International Association. In Feb 2013, she completed her third course and received her certificate as "Elite Cruise Counsellor".  Beth works at home and her travel business grew every year. 95% of her customers are referrals and 98% are loyal to her. She has customers in United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Guam and Philippines. She earned the loyalty and respect of the Filipino communities in Southern and Northern California, Arizona, Texas, Chicago, New York and Canada.
